What it is
Discs are checked for wear, deep scoring and cracks. Most have a minimum thickness stamped on them, and a lip you can feel at the outer edge is a sign they are getting close to it.

What you can do about it
Discs and pads are usually replaced together, since new pads bed badly against a worn disc. A pulsing you can feel through the pedal normally means a disc has warped.
Advisories
Testers also noted this 6,610,297 times in 2025 as an advisory, without failing the car for it. That is worth acting on before the next test comes round.
