A motorbike takes an MOT on the same yearly cycle as a car, starting three years after it is first registered.
What motorcycle mot means
It is a different test class with different equipment, so not every garage can do it. Class 1 covers bikes up to 200cc and class 2 covers everything above that.

What is the difference between class 1 and class 2?
Engine size. Class 1 is up to 200cc, class 2 is over 200cc. Most test stations that do one also do the other.
Does a chain need adjusting before the test?
A loose or badly worn chain is a failure item, so it is worth checking the tension and the sprocket teeth beforehand.
